Born in Bregenz in 1971, Christina Walker worked in theatre, film and museums in Vienna and Berlin for several years after completing her studies. She now lives in Augsburg and Hard on Lake Constance. Her writing has received numerous awards, most recently including the Vorarlberg Literature Prize, the Swabian Literature Prize and the Netlit Prize at the Munich Short Story Competition. Her debut novel, “Auto”, was published in 2021, followed by “Kleine Schule des Fliegens” in 2023, which was longlisted for the Austrian Book Prize. Her novel “Verteidigung eines Gartens” was published by Residenz Verlag in 2026.
