Nuno Maulide

Nuno Maulide

born in Lisbon in 1979, is an award-winning professor and head of the Institute for Organic Chemistry at the University of Vienna. He studied piano and chemistry in Lisbon and carried out research at the universities in Leuven, Paris and at Stanford University. From 2009, he was section leader at Germany's Max Planck Institute for Carbon Research in Mülheim an der Ruhr. He has been professor of organic synthesis at the University of Vienna since 2013 and was named Austrian scientist of the year in 2018. His book "Die Chemie stimmt!" was co-authored with Tanja Traxler.
